Masala Idlis

Tingle your taste buds with our Traditional and Mouth watering South Indian Masala Idli Recipe.
A very tasty snack of left-over idlis. Masala Idli is quite easy to prepare.When the idli batter in the end gets hard to prepare idli, this should do wonders! Most of us in our house are dosa fans. So, only these kind of variations in the idli would attract everyone, and all ages!


You need

Mini Idlis - 20 no.s
Onion (big & chopped) - 1
Tomatoes - 3
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
1/2tsp Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Green chillies (slit opened)- 5
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Few curry leaves
Salt
Whole spices (bayleaves, cloves & cinnamon stick) - 2 each (optional)
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Chopped coriander leaves
Lemon pieces (optional)
Oil
Heat oil in a skillet. Add the whole spices and saute for a while. Add immediately the chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and finely chopped tomatoes. Saute until tomatoes and nicely cooked. Add the rest of the masalas and cook for 5-8 mins.
Now add the mini idlis to the cooking masala. Toss this gently! Once done, garnish with coriander leaves and lemon if you require.
